Critics Cut Chopped to Pieces
Critics Cut Chopped to Pieces
-- Grub Street: New York Magazine's ...
Ted Allen, as host, was dry and mechanical, simply going through the paces, and the production quality was pretty high (as far as the Food Network goes), but still nowhere near Bravo's. It's just three Top Chef elimination challenges, ...

I watched the first half of this last night then I realized it was going on beyond 30 minutes and I lost interest.

Food Network's 'Chopped': TiVo worthy?
Los Angeles Times - CA,USA
Long before "Chopped" premiered Tuesday night on Food Network, the blogosphere had summarily labeled it a ripoff of Bravo's Emmy-winning TV show and pop ...

I caught parts of it, did not see anything I wanted to run out and try. Prune soup ? not something I would want unless I needed loosening up. Whats the deal with duck ? how many of us can afford to buy it, and it seems to be more of an acquired taste that one that is immediately liked, last time I remember it was greasy and if not greasy it was dry. I am going to have to go back and watch the whole thing, since the alarms were going off after we lost power and had to replace all the batteries in them when it was on. Sounds like it was pretty boring.

I saw it also when it debuted Tuesday night.
And I, also, summed it all up as a ripoff, but a ripoff of NFNS, Iron Chef America and Throwdown.
I don't see this one lasting long or even getting a renewal. Too boring to me!I'm a supreme Fan of Bentley Green & Aaron McCargo Jr.!!:appl:

It was sort of interesting. But I couldn't figure out why they even bothered putting a vegetarian/vegan chef on there.
Those who forget the pasta are condemned to reheat it.

I don't know, but this one, as far as I can see, has a big question mark hanging over it.
If it even gets renewed, I'll be quite surpised. I like his other show Food Detectives much better.I'm a supreme Fan of Bentley Green & Aaron McCargo Jr.!!:appl:
