    Chopped - 06/30

First off, I love my girlfriend.

On to business, its the first commercial break and I'm already pissed. Beef shoulder? For a 20 minute appetizer? Even one of the chefs complained about it, as well as the judges! Everyone knows the dishes will suck.

Surprisingly, the appetizers didn't suck! Maybe there's hope for the 20 minute timer after all! I had the bald guy at the start as my pick to win, but he might be bounced in the first chop. Hopefully he'll throw something.

As an entree, I made a sweet as pot pie/mac N cheese combo for my chick last weekend that received RAVE reviews. The chefs should have used that, maybe they'd have more confidence then!

I only saw the first part where they got the pumpkin and fish paste. My hubby came in and turned it.

Boo! Where's the compromise!!! I think the girl gets chopped for the entree round. She messed up the meat on both meals.

Hi, I am the aforementioned "chick"

    A few things to add:

    1. Pot pies and mac n cheese are always a winner. I recommend Food Network stocks their pantry with this.

    2. I agree that 20mins is just too short for the appetizer. Come on people! A beef shoulder? Last week it was ocotopus? Please.

    3. Alex Gurnaschelli is evil

    4. I think my boyfriend is the bees knees.

I had the TV most of the evening, so I gave it up. Nice to see we have a couple here.

    AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! Thanks baby!!!

The dude who had his hand cut is screwed, but o well, the other guy did really well on this episode. He deserves to win. Much better episode when compared to last week.

Eww, I hate it when there is blood shed in a cooking show. It would freak me out to have to eat their food then. But it probably happens when we go out to dinner and we never know.

Wow, a nice curveball to end the show! They both did well though, so it was definitely a good show. I wish the bald guy had thrown something though.

I feel very close to my woman.
